    Description

    Painted Japanese lacquerware musical jewelry box. Vintage item.
    Box exterior is painted red, gold and silver with Japanese imagery on a black background. Beveled lid opens to show felt-lined interior with mirror inside the lid.
    Wind up music apparatus plays a Japanese tune.
    Box measures approx 8 1/4" wide x 5 1/2" and is approx 4 1/2" high.  Weighs 1 lb 11 oz.
    Item is in good vintage condition with some wear consisting of small bumps and marks to finish, minor marking of felt lining and some wear to the mirror. Hinges are tight and front latch is in good working order.
