    Description

Offered is the Elgin 8-Day Car Clock.  For an early automobile dashboard.  The clock is clean overall.  It runs and keeps time.  The number within is as follows:  28197289, the number on the back panel is as follows: P14436 and it says Stewart. The back panel has a small chip-visible in the photos.  The clock dial face is worn from chipping paint, probably from direct sunlight back in the day-the dial front appears to be of brass construction.  The second hand is loose-it remains inside the glass lens-visible in photos. The shiny bezel and lens on the front are in good, clean condition-there are a couple tiny hairlines at the bezel edge, but they are minimal and very hard to see. The clock adjustment shaft is 1 1/2 inches in length and it works for winding and clock time adjustment.  Overall diameter is 3 3/4 inches.  Clean within.  Pick up the old clock for your own restoration work or for your old car.  Early 20's production. Free of rust or pitting.  Back removes easily and properly and the little clock can be viewing working. No attempt was made to remove the front or the lens-the lens is a little loose-it will be properly packed for shipping. About 2 pounds packed up.  NO RESERVE!! Thanks for looking.
