Vintage Black Lacquer Smoking Box, Mother of Pearl Inlay

Description

This beautiful Japanese black lacquer box is decorated with a mother of pearl inlay depicting a detailed outdoor scene with women.
The box is 14" long, 2 3/4" high and 7" wide. The interior has compartments for cigarettes and an ashtray with a small panel that lifts out.
The box is in good condition except for a small area of damage to one corner and a spot on the building with missing inlay - see photos.
