  • Condition: This puzzle box shows signs or used. It has a secret solution to the puzzle which takes many steps and even more to reassemble. It has been on display for decades. I have never seen is opened but can tell by scratches and small nicks that it has been used many times of the last 100 years. 1910.

    Description

    This antique puzzle box has been in the family for decades.  Most of the past 50 years it has been displayed in the china cabinet and not used. The inlay work is absolutely amazing.  Each design is unique and very detailed.  It has been attempted by visitors and family members.  If they take it apart they must put it together.  No solution comes with this kind of puzzle.  It is for the truly patient soul.  The designs are amazing.  One side is a river with Mt. Fugi in the background .  The wood inlay is stained muted colors.  The other side is a bird and Lotus flower.  Each side has an intrigue design.  This measures 6.25 long 4” wide and 2.5” high.
